Dueling, which is just a glorified Rock, Paper, Scissors game. Hanging out with your friends - which is a quiz game. Finally, the activity you will spend the most time in: Classes, which are, as we all know, mindless tapping-fests that surprisingly do feel like actual school classes (at least they do to me). Unless you really mess something up, none of these activities (apart from dueling) can really be failed. Also, each of these activities can last from 1 minute to about 3 minutes at the most. The only times I seem to play the game for longer than 3 minutes is when I'm missing a couple of energy points and I go around Hogwarts and scrounge up a few energy points like a beggar hoping that I can finish that last lesson. In short, each activity in this game is only a couple of minutes long. Each year at Hogwarts only requires a set amount of activities to be completed before moving on to the next one. So again, we are looking at this game if it had no energy.
If you had an infinite amount of energy, it would only take you about 30 minutes (maybe more if you want to grind for more house points) to complete each year, which really isn't a lot. Seeing how Hogwarts has 7 years, completing the entire game (once it's fully released would take. For a story based game, even a free one, that's really not a lot.
